So I've realized a GOOD thing about when the nephew was here...we all got up and got dressed and were around other people. Since he's stopped coming over? We're still in our PJ's at noon. We are so boring. It's 11:30 on a Thursday Friday...we haven't left the house in a few days. HELP!
On the bright side? My house is pretty darn clean. I've even scrubbed the toilets and am going to scrub the floors before I crawl in bed tonight. I'm trying to work up the energy to get dressed and head into town today. And by town? I mean the one 15 minutes away, not the one 5 minutes down the road. I'm weird. I refuse to go anywhere near Bellevue since the accident...bad experience, I'm boycotting. I'm weird, I know.
So today on our plate is a trip to Barnes and Noble. I'm caving and purchasing a Nook. I'm so excited! I've been going back and forth between the Nook and the Kindle and I've finally decided on the Nook. After reading this post by Jennifer at Heavenly Mommy, I'm caving with the hubby's full support. I couldn't do it until he did the research for me and told me it was a good buy
Now I'm off to get dressed and get the kiddo in the car...in a few hours, I'll be home with a new toy and I'll force myself to clean the rest of the house so I don't feel HORRIBLY guilty. I'll just feel a little guilty for spending all those giftcards...

You deserve to buy a nook, especially if you have gift cards to spend! Don't feel bad, we haven't been out of jammies till after 10 a.m. almost every day that we have been home! Hubby was home today and insisted we were dressed by the time he came home from a HairCut and Jiffy Lube. He guilted me into it!

So did you get it????

I did it! And I LOVE IT! I managed to use 4 different giftcards and am so excited to start reading!
I love PJ days...I ended up getting everyone dressed yesterday and dropping Scotty off at Grandpa's. I'd completely forgotten that we had that planned! So I've had lots of time to play with my nook and have a bunch of free eBooks loaded on it now AND some library books!

I hear you on this one. I loved the summer because Lil' Lewie and I came and went as we pleased. There was no set time schedule other than naptime. Now that I've started work, routine has taken over, and I'm not so sure I like it--at all. Congrats on your new freedom. It sounds like you're happy to have your old routine back, even if it doesn't quite motivate you to get dressed right away

I'm horrible about routines...I always have been! BUT we just signed him up for a sports class, so I need to get better! I'm trying to schedule a bunch of playdates and things too so we actually get out of the house. I am so happy we don't have the nephew coming anymore, it makes my life quite a bit easier with my weird schedule
