*Playing pattern blocks
*Thomas and Brennan came over to play…Scotty and Thomas decided to take a “nap” in his room.
*Scotty has his own computer…yay! This is what you can find most mornings at our house now…
*Our new fish tank…we’ve named three of the 5 fish. Oranges the goldfish, Pickles the Guppy and Randy the Guppy. We have two other guppies that we haven’t named yet. And we just got a snail that I named Spongebob. I have no idea why, it just popped into my head and it stuck.
*NOW you can race down the driveway on your bike…wait, what? You want to wear your new snazzy helmet to play COMPUTER? Huh. Okay.

Again, due to the weird weather we’ve been having the boys have been able to get out quite a bit. And now that Scott has his new chair, he gets out there and races around with Scotty in the front!

*Potato bugs!

We had a BUSY Easter this year! Scotty reset my alarm the night before, so I was awake at 6 am thinking it was 7. By the time I realized what had happened, I was already too awake to go back to sleep! I sat in the front room and enjoyed some coffee and somehow I managed to forget to hide the Easter eggs! Scotty woke up around 7 and we all headed to the front room where his easter basket was. He had a blast looking at all his stuff. He got tons of candy, some change for his piggy bank, sidewalk chalk, a mini-magnadoodle for the car and sea monkeys!

Scotty also got some fancy Marshmallow treats from Ma…he thought they were pretty tasty and shared them with Dad:
AND last but not least, we went to Grandpa Jeff’s for an Easter Egg hunt! Scotty had so much fun! There was a trail from the driveway all the way to the front door, treats inside AND all around the backyard. And Dad has a pretty big backyard! Scotty inhaled sweets like there was no tomorrow. And played with his neat bubble car. Unfortunately, I didn’t grab my camera fast enough during the egg hunt. And I didn’t take any inside either. I’m waiting on pictures from Dad and Heidi, so I’ll post those when I get them. In the meantime, here are some fun outside ones…Scotty loves pushing the wheelbarrow around and it was SUPER windy out! I was surprised the power didn’t go out, but it made for great bubble blowing

Alright, this is the third time I’ve tried to post this…so it’s going to be short on words, heavy on pictures. Scotty helped me make Rice Crispy treats a week or so ago…he absolutely LOVED helping me in the kitchen. I had him measure out the marshmallows and crispy cereal, then he stirred and mixed everything together for me. His favorite part was taste-testing and cleaning the spatula for me!

Well, more or less. He’s still wearing a pull-up or diaper at night. I *tried* to get him to wear a pull-up in the car yesterday when we went to Grandpa Jeff’s for Easter and he begged me for undies…and managed to stay dry the whole way there and back. We HAVE learned that he can only go #2 at home. Hopefully he gets over that. In the meantime, I have a bag with extra clothes, undies and wipes to keep in the car. A garbage bag over his carseat until I find the seat-protector I bought a long time ago. And LOTS and LOTS of hugs and high-fives. He’s finally gotten it and we’re doing great! It’s a little stressful for me, but he’s gotten to the point where he will tell me “I need to go potty”. This week we’re going to practice using the big potty instead of the little potty all the time. I really don’t think they’d appreciate it if I carried his potty chair around the store and library with us, just in case. So…yay for Scotty and his big boy undies!

We really are doing good on potty training, just to clear that up.
So far only one April Fools joke has been played at our house. I called mom early and told her I was pregnant. For the 10th year in a row. And for the 10th year in a row, she believed me. She makes me giggle. In a little bit Scotty and I are calling Grams to tell her there is either A) a gorilla in the kitchen or B) John Wayne is in our bathtub. And Grams will giggle and pretend to believe us like she has since I was little. She's awesome like that.
