I should say, I promise to try not to overdo it
I've been merrily blogging away on the mortgage site so much that I've scarcely taken the time to keep family and friends updated on my doings and happenings.
I'll first announce the latest big change, I've decided that it's time to get myself a set of wheels and roll on ahead with things. I've been holed up in my cave.. er... office... working furiously and frantically on completing the site and have neglected to get out and about.
Well, now that good weather is on the way, I think a wheelchair is just what I need to enjoy the sun and work on that cardio while trying to keep up with our energetic little man.
The other big news is the website... I think it will be a great tool to help augment my other networking efforts and with a little luck, should help push things beyond our local Washington borders.
But more on that another day
=^-^=
Dana has been awesome about cutting Scotty's hair for us...and it's a good thing, he won't let anyone else do it! And his hair grows FAST. This time we decided to do a buzz cut. If we didn't like it, it'd grow fast enough. Fortunately, we like it. And it's easier. And he looks pretty darn cute too!

I'm going to attempt (again) to be better at updating...and I actually have some funny stories to share, so here we go. About a week or so ago Scotty woke up wanting undies. So we did the underwear thing for a bit and after about a zillion trips to the potty and helping him pull his undies back up, I gave up. I told him he could run around with no undies for a few minutes. This was after he sat on the potty for about 20 minutes straight, so I figured we were safe and he didn't need to go. Well...I was wrong. I was sitting at my computer and he was behind me playing with his cars. All of a sudden it gets REALLY quiet and I hear a
. Followed by "Uh-oh...I pooped on the floor". And I turn around and he just looks terrified. I swear we don't beat him, he just hates to be in trouble. I grabbed him really quick and ran him into the kitchen where we had set up his potty and had him sit down. I ran back into the front room to clean up the mess and all I hear is a panicked "I broke my butt mom! I broke my butt!" I was trying so hard not to laugh, but I couldn't help it. We got the mess cleaned up, he finished on the potty and asked for a diaper. And I caved.
The second story is from today. We've had ONE accident and he's been in undies all day. We put his diapers away and we're trying it cold turkey with diapers and pull-ups not being an option. He's stubborn. Super stubborn. He doesn't want to stop playing to go potty, but he will when I ask him. So he'd just gotten off the potty about 10 minutes before this happened. Again, I was at my computer and I hear him drop to the floor and yell "I don't need to go potty!" and I hadn't even asked. So I jumped up and ran him to his potty and got him to sit...sure enough, the little stink needed to go. And he's been sitting there about 20 minutes now and refuses to go. He's holding it. And I'm making him stay there until he goes. I'm thinking I'll outlast him. I've been around a bit longer, I'm a little more stubborn. In theory.
We went to the zoo with Auntie Dana and Grandma…Scotty had an absolute blast!
*Posing for pictures

*Auntie Dana let him get a special penny…and carried him a bit. She’s wrapped around someone’s little pinky.

*See? Totally wrapped around his finger.

*So is Grandma…and unfortunately, we didn’t get a picture of her doing her impression of an elephant.

*The Zoomazium is one of Scotty’s favorite things…especially the gate.

*This? Not so much. He didn’t want to go in there, it was dirty.

*Trying to move the elephant ball…and his devious look on the right.
*Both Auntie and Grandma helped him jump.
*Looking at the gorillas…one of mom’s favorites

Enjoy!
*Auntie Dana and Uncle Matty bought this shirt for Scotty…a year ago. It’s still a little big, but he loves it. AND it matches his favorite hat!

*Scotty’s “garage” on the right.
*We’ve had some great weather and Scotty’s enjoyed getting out and riding his bikes!

*Poor kiddo caught a cold and passed out on dad after a long day!
*We TRIED to get the “model” pic, but he moved while I was getting my camera. Look at how HUGE he is?
*More outside! note the camo and the KU hat. Go Jayhawks! (I *think* that’s right)
*In honor of our 7 yr anniversary, we had chocolate fondue for dessert…Scotty thought it was pretty fabulous.

Enjoy!
*Playing guitar with Dad…we have a budding musician on our hands! He loves the guitar, piano and a bunch of other musical instruments that Ma and Aunt Cookie got him!

*Scotty decided to “wear” Moo-cow as Pants…what a nut.

*This is what happens during quiet time…and then Scotty yells for mom or dad because he can’t get out by himself.
*Cousin Drake came over to play, Scotty had a blast and did great sharing (for the most part)!
*Playing in his ball-pit and tunnel from Uncle Brian and Aunt Lisa
*Mom started playing with her camera…Scotty is a very tolerant subject.
*Grandma Susie came for a visit, Scotty had an absolute blast playing with her!
*Scotty helped Dad fix the sink…we had a leak, but now he will tell you he “fixed” the garbage disposal.

*Mom playing with her camera again…
